HowToPlay CD-ROM!

[System Card]
1. Find PC-Engine System Card (ver 3.0 should work fine).
2. Unzip it (*.pce) and rename it as "syscard.pce".
3. Put it under /sdcard/pce16 on your sdcard.

[CD-Rom]
1. Use your PC, find CD-Rom games (eg. doperoms.com) and extract all files.
** I recommend trying Super Raiden CD first as an exercise.

** All audio files need to be converted to *.wav
** I use winamp to convert them but you can use your own.

2. Run WinAmp, goto Options -> Preferences -> Plug-ins -> Nullsoft Disk Writer

3. Click configure and select "Output to directory containing source files", Playlist index at the beginning -> disabled, Output File Type -> "Force WAV file", Conversion -> PCM 22.050 Khz, 8bit, Stereo

** For Droid or high-end device, you can choose 44.1Khz but it will double the size.

4. Drag all *.mp3 files to winamp and it will start writing *.wav files to your folder.

5. Open a text file with *.toc extension (eg. DracX.toc)

6. Add all Track file names with "Leadin" and "Leadout"

** Example **
Leadin
Track01.wav
Track02.iso
Track03.wav
Track04.wav
Track05.wav
Track06.wav
Track07.wav
Track08.wav
Track09.wav

Track15.wav
Track16.wav
Track17.wav
Track18.wav

  1. Great Emulators! They run really well for me. I just bought the PCE 16 emulator and am having trouble with loading the CD-Rom games mainly because im not sure what a .toc file is or how to open one. I converted all the MP3 files of super raiden and put all the files in the root of my SD, but the emulator does not detect any of the files. Any help with this one? thanks!

  3. Droid X supports multi-touch. Will support be added for this, since there's no physical keyboard? Kinda useless without it on my device.
